late summer fun

late summer fun

1st Day of school.

Outfit for the first day of school.

So excited to go! That didn't last long. Now she says I hate school! It's not fun at all, all we ever do is learn stuff.

Waiting for the bus.

Getting on the bus.

Getting off the bus - already hand in hand with her best friend Isabella.

Meeting the teacher Mrs. McCoy. She is a great teacher!

She came home all smiles after the first day.

Just another school day. She wanted me to take a picture of her hair. She likes it done this way.

Late summer fun.

Playing in the sand at the river.

Anelyse in her own little world.

Eating the sand at the river.

What do you mean I can't eat the sand?

What a cute little boy!

Hadley Dodge.

Raiden.

Raiden, Hadley, and Helam.

Ride'm Cowboy! Go Mandy go!

The whole crew. What a motley bunch.

Going on a froggy hunt. They caught more than 20 frogs before we left.

Oh! how sweet, looking for frogs with dad 'cause the girls left him.
Raiden loves his daddy.

This is the Cawdad the girls caught - he had clams stuck to two of his legs and did't seem to be in much of a hurry to get away.

The girls with thier crawdad.

It's My Party And I'll Cry If I Want To!

The mood of Anelyse almost the entire party. What a party pooper!

Anelyse eating Pizza......

Everyone else eating Pizza........

Even Helam seamed to be enjoying the party........

But not Anelyse.

The Pinata lightened the mood quite a bit but even that took a lot of convincing from mom.

Kimiko and Anelyse eating B-day cupcakes.

I think she only ate the frosting and gave the rest to me. It works out really well for both of us because we each get the part we like the best. YUM!

After opening presents. I could not wait to take them all home! I am hoping she won't want to do that for a long time, and I will do my best to talk/ bribe her out of it.

After all the kids went home we opened more presents from mom/dad, Nana, and Baba.

"Oh Cool! My own tool purse, just what I always wanted!

She has put the tools to good use helping dad on various projects, and mom has had to borrow them on occasion.

Baba got Anelyse a wonderful wagon to pull behind her tricycle, unfortunately my camera died and the trike broke the next day. Since I am not that good at welding I tried to get uncle Carson to fix it. After waiting several weeks I gave up and did it myself. It took several attempts and the end result was a really ugly weld, but so far so good. So, consequently these pics were taken later (I think earlier in Sept.) as she was carting our harvest from the garden to the house.

What a good gardener Anelyse is. Potatoes, Carrots, Corn, Squash, etc...

What do you think he is thinking? I hope this isn't a sign of things to come.
It is hard to see with the pic this small but he has a VERY MISCHIEVOUS look on his face.

Cutting Wood and Riding Bikes in Kilgore Idaho

Two weekends in a row we ended up in Kilgore to cut firewood for my mom and to ride our new dirt bikes. Here are a few pics from our adventures.

Cairn Mt. as we named it. This was an awesome spot. the whole top was covered with rock Cairns including a castle. This was our longest break as we were required by Anelyse to act out Sleeping Beauty - I was the Evil Queen, Dad was the prince, and of coarse Anelyse was Sleeping Beauty.

The Evil Queen (not always evil as evidenced by the smile)

Princess Anelyse and her prince charming

Not the highest point on our ride - but close. I think we ended up at about 8700 ft.

Dad and Anelyse on top of the world.

What a happy family.

Pepper in the woods.

No such a great one of Helam, but look at my cute little girl :)
What a little cutie!

Helam, Mom, and Joe taking a break.

Workin' hard

Playing fetch with Kota

Helping Mom weed the garden. What a good little helper! Notice the evidence of Mosquito ville on the forehead.

Nothing says country living like a little mud on your face.

Fun with cousins Wyatt and Kimiko
Hangin' out with Dad. He has five teeth, but only two are seen here.

Waiting for candy!Mom, Pepper, Daddy and Helam watching the Rexburg parade.
